Great Giving Ideas

The idea of doing outreach is nothing new to anyone active in a congregation. Especially at this time of the year. But the way West Hill does outreach is a little different than your average suburban congregation. Because, of course, we aren't your average suburban congregation.

Several years ago, while we were engaged in the community around us in some pretty significant ways, we realized that most of the people who were doing outreach from the church basement were also doing charitable and meaningful work elsewhere. Some had become more active in the community because of the inspiration they received at West Hill. We found that much creative and significant work was happening because people were being challenged and supported through their relationship with us and so we began to see what we did on a Sunday morning as a significant element of our outreach work.

Of course, we are still involved in the community in traditional ways, too. But this Christmas, as well as inviting you to support the congregation that inspires people to do great things, we wanted to introduce to to some of those people and, perhaps, get inspired yourself.
