February 11 2024: Sing Out
HOP OUT OF BED
You Know DIANNE CLARE... but have you heard her sing?
Many of you know West Hill's bookkeeper, Dianne Clare,
but did you know that one of her manytalents is singing?
This Sunday, we are in for a real treat - Dianne and the Quartet she sings with will be visiting WHU to bring a Musical Perspective(s).
Music lovers - don't miss us this week!
Dianne also introduced us to SINGING OUT, Toronto’s largest 2SLGBTQQIA+ community choir. They are a mixed-voice, non-auditioned, choir – a relative rarity in our communities across North America.
But Singing Out is much more than just a choir. Above all, it's a community with a mission of pride, music, and belonging. They create a warm welcoming space where everyone who enjoys singing and learning can find a place to belong and have fun. They welcome different levels of experience, as well as diverse backgrounds and identities. With no auditions needed to join and no requirement to be able to read sheet music - all are welcome (allies too)
