George Alexander Kubler (26 July 1912 - 3 October 1996) was an American art historian and among the foremost scholars on the art of Pre-Columbian America and Ibero-American Art. Kubler was born in Hollywood, California, but most of his early education was in Europe. He studied at Yale University and, from 1938, was a member of the Yale University faculty. He received several awards, including three Guggenheim Fellowships.

 Shellen Lubin (born April 4, 1953) is an American director, writer, performer, and theatre and music teacher. She is best known for her philosophical musings about art and artists, found in her Monday Morning Quotes and articles in Backstage.

Thomas Merton OCSO (January 31, 1915 – December 10, 1968) was an American Trappist monk, writer, theologian, mystic, poet, social activist and scholar of comparative religion. He wrote over 50 books on spirituality, social justice and quiet pacifism.
